Sherwood Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (SCPAAA)

Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.

Organizational meetings were held over the Summer of 2007 to determine interest in forming an an alumni association. Bonnie and Glenn Davis were instrumental in contacting those who had participated in the Sherwood Citizens Police Academy. Many who have attended the SCPA desired to form an organization to encourage other citizens to attend the Sherwood Citizens Police Academy, and to assist the Sherwood Police Department with community outreach and community events. A group met at the Amy Sanders Library, located on Shelby Road in Sherwood, in October 2007 for the first reading of the bylaws, and in November 2007 for the second reading of the bylaws. The third reading, adoption of the bylaws, and election of officers were orders of business at the meeting held December 4, 2007, at the Sherwood Council Chambers.
